For The Music Lover: Give the Gift of Spotify This Holiday

If you still haven’t finished your holiday shopping yet, don’t worry, because you are not alone! Luckily, Spotify is offering us a useful and cost-effective gift option for families. Premium members now have the option to add family members to their account, much like a family phone plan where there is a main account holder and one or more sub-accounts. This is perfect for the music lover in your life!

Even more good news: The first three months of service for your family member will be free of charge. It is only after the three month trial period that your monthly bill will go up. The basic Spotify Premium is $9.99/mo, and it’s an additional $5 for each additional sub-account. That’s essentially a $60 present per person if they use it for a year. Think of it as a pay-as-you-go payment plan present! And a useful one, at that.

Now why bother getting Spotify Premium for yourself or anyone else? For starters, to take advantage of their intuitive Discover Weekly feature that suggests new music to you based on your listening habits. Their Running feature is also really cool — it plays music that matches your pace to keep your workout flowing. It’s also nice to have the option of personal, user-made, and Spotify-made playlists at your disposal. You don’t have to agree, but 20 million users do!
