Who Is Savant? An Interview With Aleksander Vinter and Manager Joshua Hernandez (Part I)

Savant and manager, Joshua Hernandez

Relationship

Managers and artists spend hours, days and sometimes weeks together, whether on the road, planning upcoming events, or bouncing ideas off of one another. The best kinds of friendships are built off of sarcasm, laughter and a dash of seriousness. For Aleksander and Joshua, this proves to be true, which helps them work extremely well together. Their balance of serious and fun allows them to get their jobs done, even if Joshua gets “fired” regularly.

He can say: ‘Yea, in the future i’m going to screw you over and steal all your money,’ and I can also make a joke about it: ‘Yeah, go fire yourself.’ That’s how the best kind of relationships are. We put ourselves in place sometimes when we have too much of this or that. -Savant

Savant Interview

Savant is nothing short of unique in every aspect.

Joshua fills many shoes individually: record label owner, manager, father and friend. Having such a wide range of positions helps his relationship with Aleksander in all the right ways. Aleksander didn’t have a dad who took care of him growing up. To have Joshua around, who is his best friend, is really comfortable for him.

Savant: It’s really cool having a dude that’s my best friend and also takes care of my business. You know he won’t steal your shit or fuck you over. That happens a lot.

Joshua: [laughing] I’m going to get rich as fuck though.
