Eliminate Gets Funky With “Intergalactic” Remix

We are always ecstatic here at Dance Music Northwest when a PNW local releases some fresh new music. Get to know Eliminate. He’s not going anywhere. The Seattle local and W.S.U. Cougar has been assaulting subwoofers with face melting tracks ranging from dubstep to trap (check out his epic tune Pyramid). In his latest release, Eliminate remixes Intergalactic by The Beastie Boys.

If there was a song that exemplified the opposite of “Couging It” it would be the Intergalactic (Eliminate Remix). It’s difficult to remix a group as iconic as The Beastie Boys, primarily because nobody wants to compromise the group’s impeccable lyrics. Eliminate’s remix first and foremost maintains the verse structure of the original, which will have hip hop purists everywhere breathing a sigh of relief. However, is it blasphemous to say that Eliminate made the song better? We don’t think so. This song has a little bit of everything; a heavy funk synth, some trappy snares and super heavy, oscillated dubstep bass over a nice ~110 BPM tempo that you can easily boogie to. The Trailer Park Boys soundbyte at the end of the track is good for some giggles, but also to regain a little bit of composure from the slowed down craziness that is the last drop.
