Vancouver’s Digital Motion Events Celebrates Seven Years of Bass

Over the last 2 years or so the DMNW team has enjoyed spending time with our neighbors in the great white north. Vancouver’s music scene is highly active, rich in diversity, and has no shortage of bass. Certainly, no stranger to heavy bass is Vancouver’s own Digital Motion Events. Established in 2010, Digital Motion has been dedicated to showcasing the best in forward thinking Electronic music & Bass culture. For the last 7 years they have been responsible for some of our most memorable nights in Vancouver. With their weekly Saturday night event (SUBcutlure Saturdays) featuring Red Room’s in-house PK Sound rig, the team behind Digital Motion lives and breathes heavy bass.

With a full month of events planned for their 7 year anniversary, we kicked off our weekend with the Shambhala Pre-party. Featuring not 1, but 4 performers from this year’s lineup, Vancouver’s Per-party went off! Vibes were high as always and the PK Sound rig had us itching to return back to the farm. Keeping the hype going all the way to Canada Day, Digital Motion has plans to bring some heavy hitters to the city to celebrate 7 years of events.

Coming up next weekend will be Disciple Recording’s own Rob of Dodge & Fuski. With a fresh EP released just last month, this one will not be a show to miss. Kicking the 7-year celebration into high gear the following weekend is a day cruise in Vancouver’s English Bay and Salish Sea with Marcus Visionary. The 100% dnb jungle cruise is going to cause some serious waves. Returning to the city, the party moves back to Red Room for Black Sun Empire, The Upbeats and a mystery headliner. If there’s anything we’ve learned from mystery headliners this year, it’s to trust in them. Earlier this year Digital Motion brought in Crizzly, Virtual Riot and Datsik for the Ninja Nation Tour after party! Closing out the calendar for a Canada Day celebration is the Vancouver debut of Excisions protege, Dion Timmer.

The folks at Digital Motion Events have been providing the city with killer events since day one, which is no easy feat. Whether it’s Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Trap, or anything else that bumps, Digital Motion has you covered. With 7 years of history now in the books, the future is looking up for the DM crew. We’re looking forward to celebrating this month with all you wonderful Canadians. For full event details and tickets to any Digital Motion event be sure to head over to their Facebook page for details.
