The bionic contact lens looks scary – we’re not sure if we are ready to become the next rave – worthy cyborg, but the idea is cool enough to keep us on our toes. Optical head-mounted displays, or devices that amplify our vision through fixed optics that float screens right before our eyes have come to embody what would be the first wearable technology. Imagine recording raves and shows through your eyes (literally) and capturing snapshots with the touch of a button on your smartphone. Updates and concert alerts right before your eyes – and entirely new ways of networking. Would you be willing to be the first cyborg?
