Air+Style: Pray For Snow…And EDM!

Earlier this week, Olympian Shaun White announced the initial lineup for the first U.S. Air + Style which will be held at the Rosebowl Stadium in Pasadena, California from February 21-22.  New this year, there will be live music sets at the culmination of each day including Steve Aoki, Diplo, Kendrick Lamar, Phantogram, and many others.  Tickets  to the event will set you back nearly $200 (and probably a plane ticket).

Pray for Snow

If you can’t wait until February, and are looking for something local with a similar ski and snowboard flair, you might want to check out the first annual Mt. Hood Meadows and Portland Mercury Pray 4 Snow: Ski Boots & Swimsuits party at Popina Swimwear in NE Portland this Saturday, November 22nd.

Dress in your favorite (most ridiculous) ski gear so you can enter the costume contest to win Meadows lift tickets, ski equipment, and restaurant vouchers.  But of course, it wouldn’t be a party without the music!  BEATROX Records will be bringing you the best electronic dance music with two dance floors, including a Silent Disco.  Tickets to this event are only $10 and a short car ride away.

“This is a winter-themed hot tub rager with multiple dance floors, dope music, and tons of free giveaways,” said Nathan Jenkins of BEATROX.  Count us in.  Tips up and pray for snow!

First gig in the music industry was as a low power FM broadcast radio DJ in 1996. First concert was Blink 182 with Bush and Filter in 1999. First electronic show was Benny Bennasi in June 2011. We've come a long way, baby.
