5 Artists To Watch At Electric Love Festival 2018!

It’s coming, faster than ever, and we are READY! It’s time for Electric Love Festival once again, and we are eccstatic to say the least. Nestled in the Cheam Fishing Village in Agassiz. BC, this festival has risen from obscurity to become one of the most respected names in the festival game right now. With their tight lineups, full of old school talent and new school trailblazers, paired with the beautiful venue and amazing attendees, we’re so excited to get back.

As good as the lineup is, there’s always a few mysteries, so we’re gonna break down 5 of them for you. Whether they’re breaking into a new market, fresh on the scene, or a low profile artist, we have a feeling after this weekend they’re gonna be on everyone’s lips.

5. Crissy Criss

This guy should be a name on everyone’s radar, as he’s one of the most prolific and high performing drum n bass artists in the world. Playing on every continent, he’s been bringing his rudeboy flavour to the dance floors since before many of the festival attendees were even born yet. Crissy Criss has been keeping a low profile for the last little while, which is why it’s ELATING to see him on this lineup. We know his signature wobbles and broken beats will have you dancing til the end.

4. Outsider

Hailing from the drum n bass capital of Canada, Toronto, but currently living that west coast lifestyle in Victoria, BC, Outsider has been making a massive name for himself with releases on the famed labels Sleeveless Records and Deep Dark and Dangerous, among others. His insane productions and tight mixing style has caught the eye of the scene! Whether you caught his sunrise set at Tall Tree 2017, or as part of the Sleeveless takeover at Bamboo Bass Festival in Costa Rica this past winter, this man is slowly making his way to the top of the heap, and his set is absolutely not one to miss.

3. Sara Sukkha

We recently got to sit down with this rising star from Vancouver, BC (check out her interview at the link above!) and it’s clear this set will not be easily forgotten. Between her appearances at MIA in Vancouver and her much talked about set at this year’s Snowbombing Canada, this lover of all things dark and bangin’ is about to blow your minds!

2. Phibes

You may recognize the name from their bottomless bag of DnB edits from artists like The Prodigy to M.I.A, plus their incredible catalogue of original productions. Hailing from the UK, they’re a name we hadn’t seen much of on the west coast until now, and we are certainly glad they’re coming around more. Make sure to see the these amazing Brits do what they do best!

1. JVST SAY YES

These mysterious bass house selectors have been a force to reckon with for the last few years, but few have seen their live sets! He’s stated to have been a part of the dubstep scene for a long time, so we’re curious and excited to see what this artist has in store for us! Rumours are flying about his mysterious identity, ranging from Dodge & Fuski to Getter. Identity is far from our main concern, especially with tunes like the remix of Ill Behaviour and collaborations with some major players. This is gonna be a shaker from start to finish!

Now, that’s just 5 of the artists on an absolutely endless list of talent at this festival. Be sure to check these and everyone else out, and let us know who to watch for next!
