Considered one of the pioneers of bass music, Zomboy is very well aware of the current state of bass music. He told Billboard his thoughts and how he is trying to stay true to his signature style.
“The bass music scene, however wonderful and broad, can often get a little tired. This is only to be expected when something this popular attracts so many new and hungry producers. In the current climate a lot of the groove and energy has been substituted for a harder, simpler and more aggressive sound.”
His latest release, Lone Wolf, brings us back to his roots as he shows us his infectious musicality that remains unmatched. In this track, Zomboy taps into the funkier side that we’ve definitely been missing, he starts off the track with a lighthearted and catchy synth progression before unleashing the chaos that is entirely his own.
In just a few months, Zomboy is returning to the PNW in February with a tour no headbanger should miss.
And of course, headlining alongside Zomboy is the Canadian trio Black Tiger Sex Machine (BTSM). They threw down at Bass Canyon in their signature black tiger helmets and unique apocalyptic visuals. They never fail to deliver anything short of a party with the perfect balance between a live performance and a DJ set. They’ll return to take us to church with their explosive blend of heavy electro and bass.
The rest of the lineup is stacked as well, including Badklaat, Gammer, Space Laces, Luzcid, Dirty Monkey B2B Subdocta.
Get ready for Zomboy’s all-star Rott N’ Roll Tour at the Tacoma Dome on February 23rd. The event is 18+ and doors open at 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale here.
