For a while now many of us have been enjoying ZHU’s hit Faded on our favorite dance music radio stations or in some of our favorite DJ’s remixes. Nobody has seen anything of ZHU, so it was an incredible shock this weekend when he took the stage at Sydney’s Listen Out music festival. Clearly crowds are excited to be hearing more of him, it’s difficult to hear the recording in spots due to their excited singing along.
Not much is known about the secretive ZHU, much like Slow Magic he prefers to stay anonymous and let his music speak for himself. With Faded going Platinum it seems to be speaking quite well for him. Even if we don’t get to see more of ZHU we look forward to hearing more from him. His sound is one that is not easily put in it’s own box, though we do find some elements of deep house to it. Currently he only has two more dates in Australia listed, but we hope he is encouraged to go on tour more as we would love to see what he does live.
