After dominating dance music last year, Zedd is beginning 2014 as well as he ended 2013. The 24-year-old has released a lyric video to his new track Find You. The vocals of Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant feature on the track. The two are no strangers to Zedd, having worked on previous tracks with the 2014 Grammy nominee. Koma featured on Spectrum, one of several hits from Zedd’s 2012 album Clarity. Zedd meanwhile remixed Bryant’s original, Push Play.
Find You can currently be heard in full exclusively on YouTube via thump. It is also available for pre-order on iTunes, with the release date on 1/26. Find You follows the formula perfected by Zedd in recent years. Catchy lyrics, quality vocals, and a beat beneath them that highlights their best attributes. Zedd is able to intertwine the powerful voice Bryant seamlessly with Koma’s emotional intensity. All while providing a melodic context that fits perfectly.
The German also confirmed via Twitter that he would be contributing to the soundtrack for the upcoming action movie ‘Divergent’. Find You is that contribution and will be joined on the soundtrack by a new track from Ellie Goulding, Beating Heart. The soundtrack is being executive produced by legendary producer Hans Zimmer. The film comes out on March 21st, a week before Zedd features at Ultra Music Festival.
