Despite the rise in prominence of trance and house, dubstep is far from becoming a forgotten genre. Thanks to artists like Excision, Bassnectar, and Polish bass star Xilent, it’s alive and well, constantly proving it’s so much more than the so-called “bro-step” sub-culture would have you believe. For episode #47 of UKF’s podcast, Xilent comes to us with a diverse mix of hard dub and melodic breaks that provide the full bass music experience, continuing the upwards trend of one of our favorite movements.
From an electro-bass remix of Krewella’s Live For The Night to a hard and dirty rendition of Fedde Le Grand’s Where We Belong, Xilent’s eclectic mastery of the genre shines through for 40 minutes of face-melting perfection. Anyone looking for a soundtrack to kick off their Saturday night can search no further, because Xilent has you covered in spades. Check it out below, and catch the Warsaw-based wub wizard at Foundation Nightclub on April 16th!
