Looking to get more use out of your Halloween costume this year? Portland-based record label Madness Records recently announced a Star Wars-themed costume party, aptly named The Bass Strikes Back, taking place Halloween weekend!
Headlining the show is none other than Kannibalen records signee Lektrique. He’s bringing his hard electro sound to the PDX Whiskey Bar, and tickets are available now! Local support includes BLVCKSMITH, Raskl, Charlie Rocket, Polyphonix, and Hubbstyle.
The Bass Strikes Back is bringing a refreshingly nerdy costume party to the legendary Whiskey Bar on November 1st. And what’s a costume party without a contest? Whoever shows up with the best costume gets free entry into Madness Records shows for a year! For more details check out the official Facebook event page.
Madness Records is a music collective and record label that throws underground parties all over Portland, from the Bit House Saloon to the ever-popular Whiskey Bar. They even organized a meetup at the recent Bass Canyon festival two weeks ago at the Gorge Ampitheater. As a small city, it’s refreshing to see dedicated electronic dance music collectives make waves in Portland.
Lektrique makes heavy-hitting electro and dubstep, often infused with ’80s synth. Originally from Belgium, the LA-based producer is the host of Kannibalen’s radio show and frequent collaborator with some of the biggest names in electronic dance music. We’re hard-pressed to think of a more appropriate DJ to headline a Star Wars dance party. Listen to one of his newest songs Night Fall to see what we mean:
