Emoh Instead, better known as What So Not, has announced that he is, “taking a break.” While this news is heartbreaking, we’ve got to respect Emoh’s mental health awareness. Born and raised in Australia, the devastating fires that have swept through his home left him “thinking about what really matters in this world & this life.” What So Not has kept busy over the past three years, playing over 400 shows in that time. Leaving him little time to spend in his home of Sydney, with family and friends.

It’s easy to forget what artists sacrifice in order to tour and share their music with the world. This important message about the importance of rest and recuperation was spread due to Emoh’s need to pull himself, “out of the ‘routine’ of it all & make sure everything I do is 110%.” He adds that a new record is on it’s way and a handful of special and fun shows are still to be announced. We’d be lying if we said we’re completely okay with What So Not going offline. No matter what, it’s important to support positive mental health and back artists through times of growth.
You support What So Not at one of his last shows for 2020 on Louis The Child’s Here For Now tour. Coming to Seattle on May 30th at the WaMu Theater.
