Vote Now in Bassnectar’s Dollar Per Basshead Initiative

From dropping his tenth studio album Noise vs. Beauty to the 18-city stop NVBS tour in fall, Lorin Ashton, better known as Bassnectar, continues to make headlines in 2014! Lorin just announced today that voting has begun on his 2014 Dollar Per Basshead initiative that donates $1 for every Bassnectar ticket sold to five organizations. Since the initiative began in 2011, Dollar Per Basshead has contributed over $50,000 to various organizations and their causes. Ashton proves again why he is among the most influential figures in the business by acting as a positive force to his fans.

Lorin Ashton is urging fans to make a positive change and vote for one out of five organizations, all of whom will receive a portion of initiative proceeds. Here’s how it works– the organization with the most votes will receive $25,000, the second highest will receive $20,000, third is $15,000, fourth $10,000 and the organization with the least amount of votes receives $5,000 toward their cause. This year, Dollar Per Basshead voters can cast their vote to the following five organizations: Khan AcademyHeadcount, Center for Media Justice, Center for Rights and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

We love what Bassnectar and the Dollar Per Basshead initiative is doing to give back to the community! Be sure to visit the Dollar Per Basshead website to learn more about the organizations and cast your vote to be a positive force for these causes, just like him.
