We’re on to the semifinals of our fan-vote tournament to find the “Best Major PNW EDM Festival Lineup of 2010-2019”. Featuring our first tiebreaker of the tournament, the second round of voting has brought us to our final four lineups.
As a brief refresher, we decided to try and have some fun while figuring out which major festival lineup of the previous decade was truly the best. We narrowed the search to major PNW festivals that featured EDM heavily, and took place in either Washington or British Columbia between 2010 and 2019.
From there, we selected more than two-dozen lineups that stood out from the crowd. Then, thanks in part to a staff vote, we broke that group into two halves of a randomly drawn 16-lineup bracket. On one side, eight lineups from Washington. On the other side, eight lineups from British Columbia.
After the second round of voting, here’s what the bracket looks like as we head into the semifinals.
UPDATE: We had the second tie of the tournament this week, with FreakNight 2013 and Paradiso 2016 even on votes! The winner will advance to the final against Shambhala 2015.
So, we added another 24 hours to vote on the matchup! After that (barring another tie) the final will be set for when voting opens on Monday. Scroll down to the matchup below to have your voice heard!

Round Three Preview
BC bracket final: Shambhala 2015 vs. Pemberton 2014
Shambhala 2015 vs. Pemberton 2014 lineups
Round two looked a lot like round one for Shambhala 2015, getting more than 80% of the vote for the second consecutive round. They’ll be the favorite in the BC bracket final, and likely would be against any lineup.
Pemberton meanwhile had a much more relaxed round two, after taking the closest matchup of round one. Pemberton 2014 joined Shambhala 2015 in knocking out Contact Winter Music Festivals in round two. While Shambhala took care of 2013, Pemberton knocked out 2018’s iteration of the festival.
Now, they’ll be up against each other to see which lineup is British Colubmia’s best of 2010-2019.

Washington bracket final: FreakNight 2013 vs. Paradiso 2016
FreakNight 2013 vs. Paradiso 2016 lineups
FreakNight 2013, which won by the widest margin in round one, went to a tiebreaker with Paradiso 2019 in round two. After an extended voting period, FreakNight 2013 advanced to the semifinals to face yet another Paradiso lineup.
Paradiso 2016 joined FreakNight 2013 in defeating a Paradiso lineup, earning 60% of the vote against Paradiso 2014. That leaves Paradiso 2016 as the final remaining ‘Diso lineup in the tournament, marking it the best Paradiso lineup of 2010-2019. Whether or not it advances to the final, or wins the tournament, that’s a solid achievement.
Will FreakNight 2013 become the best Washington EDM festival lineup from the last decade, or will Paradiso 2016 showcase the power of The Gorge’s biggest annual summer EDM festival? Time to find out.
