The Vancouver Flow Arts Facebook page has brought back an event that they’ve been running for a few years that host Allister Klimowicz called “Trout Lake Flow Arts.” The seven-hour event has a little bit of something for everyone in attendance from flow arts to live music and an artisans market.
The event features an array of activities including meditation, acrobatic yoga, slack lines, flow toys, dance, and traditional instruments. It’s worth noting here that we’ve spoken about the benefits of slack-lining here before, so it’s really fantastic to see an event that actively promotes the meditative practice.
As for the artisans market – there are a variety of goods available, including flow toys like hula hoops. Especially handy for those who don’t have one or are looking to upgrade! As a fun little extra, fire spinning will begin at sunset at Trout Lake Beach right by the water.
The Trout Lake Flow Arts event runs every Wednesday at Trout Lake Beach until September 19. The beach is located at John Hendry Park in Vancouver at 2120 E 19th Ave. RSVP to the event here on Facebook to get specific information on venues, vendors and more each Wednesday.
