Halloween is always cause for celebration in Seattle, and that goes double for music fans. It’s a night for revelry, and more than that, letting out your stranger side. That’s where Upper Left comes in, delivering the latest in a long line of amazing new events: Shadows. The lineup features Gorgon City, Kidnap Kid, Moon Boots, Camelphat, and local favorite Wesley Holmes. It promises to be a night like no other.
Upper Left has quickly gained notoriety for original shows in its short time on the scene. Each of their events (Pet Cemetery, Joule, Outlines, Dirtybird BBQ) comes with a theme and completely shatters the musical mold in our fair corner of the Pacific Northwest. Shadows promises to be no different. As Upper Left puts it:
Light is a funny thing. It shapes the world around us, brightening a path or defining an answer; it demands our attention and pulls our focus towards it… We learn to revere light because we get so used to staring at it and it rewarding us with clarity. However, sometimes it’s necessary to look back in the dark for the answer.
You can join us for a different kind of Halloween Party on October 28th, at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, kicking off at 8pm sharp. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 26 at noon, so set those alarms now, lest you miss out on what promises to be a night like no other. Peep the Facebook event page for Shadows here.
