The Untz Festival, located at Sycamore Ranch in Browns Valley, California, released the lineup for their upcoming 2023 festival season. Headlined by Of The Trees, the lineup features a mix of downtempo and experimental bass, dub, and dubstep.
Featuring two sunrise sets from Yheti, a jungle/dnb set from Apparition and DMVU downtempo set, there will be a unique mix of genres highlighted at The Untz Festival. The northern California festival originated in 2009, and since has become a home for underground bass music. This year’s event will be from May 12-14, with live painters, performers, yoga, and workshops.
The lineup contains several record label takeovers—notably Memory Palace created by Of The Trees. Additionally, the debut of Qualia, a new project announced by Chmura. There are also takeovers from Wormhole Music Group, B-side Los Angeles, and others.
There are noteworthy b2bs to expect as well, such as Ternion Sound b2b Hamdi, and the debut of NotLö b2b Curra. Further, the lineup also features many artists who have releases on the label Deep Dark & Dangerous, led by New Zealand native, TRUTH.
This year’s The Untz Festival lineup encompasses a refreshing variety of artists and curates an unforgettable live show experience. The lineup also contains multiple artists who have recently played at The North Warehouse, a venue in Portland, Oregon. The North Warehouse has been showcasing many artists from these subgenres since its opening. Several artists from the lineup have recently played there, as well as other venues in the PNW.
It is thrilling to see the success of these artists and have more spaces created for bass music in the northwest. Likewise, to have a festival in northern California solely dedicated to deep bass and experimental bass music. This year’s The Untz festival will not be something to miss!
