Tritonal
Texan trance/progressive house duo Tritonal (made up of Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed) are another of several artists to appear on both the FreakNight 2013 and Paradiso 2014 lineups. Since releasing their debut album, Piercing the Quiet in 2011, visiting Tritonia has been on dance music fan’s wish lists all over the world. They were a personal favorite of ours at FreakNight last October and that experience will undoubtedly translate to Paradiso.
Sandro Silva
Sandro Silva is another of the Netherlands’ stable of quality young producers/DJs that have taken over the Progressive and Electro House scenes in recent years. Last year he played a handful of North American tours, EDC-Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, and TommorrowWorld. His popularity boomed after releasing his iconic (and aptly titled) collab with Quintino Epic in July of 2011. The track currently has over 15 million views on YouTube and Silva has capitalized on that notoriety by continuing to grow and expand his talents ever since. Looking to see a forefather of the big room genre? Then you’re in luck this year.
The Chainsmokers
Don’t let some of the press surrounding their smash-hit #Selfie fool you, New York-based house duo Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall (aka The Chainsmokers), are capable of much more than just a catchy drop and funny audio clip. Their early-2014 skyrocket into the ‘EDM’ industry machine with #Selfie have given the duo the opportunity to show everyone what exactly they’re made of, and they aren’t disappointing. An example of this was at Ultra Music Festival earlier this year, when Laidback Luke had to miss his scheduled set for the birth of his child, and The Chainsmokers filled in and put on a great show. Filling in for artists at shows is never easy, much less filling in for a legend like Laidback Luke at a festival like UMF. The duo also played the Paradiso Journey tour earlier around the Northwest this year, but Paradiso will be the place to see them this summer.
W&W
Did we mention that there will be dutch house artists at Paradiso 2014? Of all the dutch house acts at the annual festival this year, W&W take the proverbial cake. Created by duo Willem van Hanegem and Wardt van der Harst in 2007, W&W have been steadily improving and growing globally, working with massive labels such as Armada Music and Revealed Recordings. They are another of the acts at FreakNight 2013 that are returning to the Northwest for Paradiso this year. If you missed them (or even if you saw them) at FreakNight, don’t miss another chance to get down with one of the biggest and best acts in house today.
