Before their appearance at the Dada Land Compound on September 20th, we were lucky enough to share a Seattle staple with duo Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, also known as Tritonal. Having been to the Northwest several times recently, the typical places had already been visited, so we kept it simple and treated Tritonal to Dick’s Drive-In. By “treated”, we mean gave directions and met, as they were far too kind to accept our payment for any of the meal. Their down-to-earth demeanor and genuine kindness made the experience worthwhile, and their performance that night exceeded the already massive expectations held by all Tritonians.
Leading up to Tritonal’s third Dada Land Compound appearance, we worked with the guys to give an opportunity for a fan, and a friend, to join them for a bite to eat before the show. The contest was held on Facebook and the winner, Desiree Vallejo, was chosen by the duo themselves. Her story about enjoying raving while being sober struck a chord with Chad and Dave, leading to the best pre-show hangout imaginable.
Keeping up with previous meetings, Chad and Dave were incredibly nice and sincere. Topics of discussion ranged from past Northwest performances to the difference in the size of hamburgers in the duo’s hometown of Austin, Texas. Their positive attitudes and eagerness to connect with fans shined through their seemingly constant smiles. They’re artists who not only create great music, but are great people, too. Their latest EP, Metamorphic III, which came out September 15th, is the culmination of an 18-month journey, featuring hit after hit.
