Just who is Crespo? When he’s not Djing, he goes by Daniel (Crespo) but when he takes the stage to perform, you can address him by just Crespo. He may or may not be a name you’ve heard a lot in the Pacific Northwest, but Crespo has been making waves on the East Coast for quite some time. Originally from Chicago, Crespo relocated to Tallahassee and attended Florida State University. Starting in his dorm room practicing his DJ skills, to taking the stage next to some of the biggest influences in dance music like Tiesto, Afrojack, Porter Robinson and Benny Benassi, Crespo has gone as far as a college kid can imagine.
From Sally Hall to EDC Orlando, his drive has taken him to places DJs can usually only aspire to be: the biggest festivals possible and releasing music on record labels like Cr2 and and Juicy Music. In 2011 Crespo made his first appearance solo on the main stage at EDC Orlando and again in 2013 next to Landis. This week Crespo will be making his way to debut at EDC in Las Vegas. Crespo eluded to this huge gig late Sunday night.
If you plan on attending EDC Las Vegas later in the week, you’ll want to make sure you stop by the stage Crespo will be performing on, he’ll have a set you won’t want to miss.
It’s more than just playing music on a big stage at EDC, its connecting with thousands – for an hour, we’re all on the same frequency.
Until you’re able to be on the same frequency with Crespo, make sure to check out his music on SoundCloud and let us know what you think of this up and coming name in dance music!
