Opiuo will be showing us a more relaxed side than we’re used to when he and Austero open up The Grove on Friday afternoon. Opiuo and Austero have been collaborating under the name sun:monx for the past 4 years to create a unique sonic blend of live electronic and acoustic instruments that entice with unexpected subtleties.
Oscar (Opiuo) takes his psychedelic funk downtempo while Austero’s guitar tastes sweet like jello with his buoyant and soulful grooves. Spiked with a little glitch and smoothed over with bluesy saxophone, this is the perfect vibe to start off your Friday.
