7. Tiësto – A Town Called Paradise – June 16th
A legend in the industry and a headliner who never fails to bring the masses, Tiësto (aka Tijs Michiel Verwest) has done it all. His fifth studio album as Tiësto, A Town Called Paradise, is being released via Casablanca Records and is available on June 16th. Made up of 14 tracks (18 on the deluxe version) and featuring help from Krewella, Hardwell, and Icona Pop, A Town Called Paradise is sure to be another quality addition to Tiësto’s diverse catalog of music.
The Dutchman has already released a few tracks off of the album; Red Lights, Wasted featuring Matthew Koma, and Let’s Go featuring Icona Pop have all made their way into the public’s ears. The album is available for pre-order now and is currently seated in the sixth position for ‘Top Album’ in the dance category on iTunes.
6. Bassnectar – Noise vs. Beauty – June 24th
Days before he headlines at Paradiso 2014, Bassnectar will be releasing his 10th album. The album is titled Noise vs. Beauty and a sound for what could be coming from the Californian producer is out. Three tracks from the 15-track album have been released in advance of the full release: Now featuring Rye Rye, You & Me featuring W Darling, and Ephemeral. Noise vs. Beauty is available for pre-order here.
It ‘spans the spectrum of music from hardcore noise hysteria to lush, ethereal beauty – and many points in between’, according to the man also known as Lorin Ashton in his e-mail newsletter to his fans. If his past productions, and excitement for Noise vs. Beauty, are any indication, the latest is likely to be among the greatest from him as well.
5. Zomboy – The Outbreak – August 4th
Another member of the list who will be appearing at Paradiso 2014, British producer Zomboy will be bringing the bass come August 4th. But, The Outbreak may bring the bass in a new and different way than past Zomboy (aka Joshua Mellody) productions. The first single off of the upcoming album, WTF?!, caught fans off-guard with its big-room style. The album will also be partnered with ‘The Outbreak’ tour, which will feature over 30 cities.
In typical Zomboy fashion the big-room he brought to the table in the form of WTF?! is a much heavier, dirtier, bass-infused big-room than most. In an interview on The Outbreak with Your EDM, Zomboy said the album is a range of music styles, spanning drumstep to dubstep to house. The first single has turned out to be big-room house, which he’s been into recently and sounds awesome when it’s done well, Zomboy said.
