[divider]GRIZ[/divider]
A DMNW-favorite, and we know we’re not alone, Detroit-based Funkaholic GRiZ is once again dominating festival season. A live-show treat with the production skills to match, GRiZ has coupled early-year touring with the release of his latest album, Say It Loud. Beginning in mid-May, GRiZ currently features more than a dozen festival stops, including Northwest visits at What The Festival?! and Shambhala Music Festival, as well as a tour stop at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle on May 8th.
GRiZ, also known as Grant Kwiecinski, has been a breakout artist of the last couple years, and has continued to see a steady rise of madly liberated fans. His penchant for giving away music for free, giving back to his fans, great live-sets, funky productions, and working with some of dance music’s top acts, make GRiZ easy to like. His ability to embody everything we love about dance music, especially during festival season, makes GRiZ an annual festival season winner, and 2015 will be more of the same.
[divider]PORTER ROBINSON[/divider]
Arguably the ‘Artist of the Year’ in 2014, Porter Robinson will be spreading those oh so wonderful Worlds vibes throughout North America, Europe, and Asia this summer. With a couple of Asia stops in each of June, July, and August, as well as five European festival appearances in August, the North Carolina-native is utilizing the wide variety of travel options that festival season affords. He’ll still feature heavily in North America, though, with performances slated for Mysteryland, Sunset Music Festival, Digital Dreams, HARD Red Rocks, HARD Summer, and more. He, of course, played at both Ultra and Coachella earlier this year, and while he’s enjoying his Worlds victory lap this festival season, we’ll be drooling over what he has left in the tank (see: The Thrill remix).
