Currently 21 years old, 3LAU balances a full course load at Washington University in St. Louis with a nationwide tour schedule and hours devoted to producing the bootlegs and remixes that have landed him top 10 Beatport & Hype Machine charting. Combining top-40 acapellas with instrumental bangers, 3LAU kickstarted his career producing a signature sound that transcends the traditional definition of a bootleg, seamlessly weaving tracks that breed dance floor filth. This is precisely why his performance at The Whiskey Bar in Portland is not to be missed.
With a background in piano, guitar, and drums, 3LAU’s beginnings were in indie, but a trip to Sweden in the summer of 2011 opened his eyes to the world of house music. After producing for only a year, 3LAU’s achievements include the #1 remix in Tiesto’s “Work Hard, Play Hard” remix competition, a top 10 beatport release on the progressive charts, and slots at Electric Zoo, Global Dance Fest, Spring Awakening and Camp Bisco.
