The Road to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas: The DMNW Guide

Hydration is super important in the Vegas desert. Bring your refillable bottle/camel back and the free stations will hook you up. Also, great idea to have a totem and a meet up spot. Your phones don’t exactly work once you are in there.

Even as a seasoned veteran, this festival is an entirely different beast. You are dealing with people who come from all across the United States and some even from other countries. Because of this, there’s a different race etiquette. Always be on your toes and be observant. Always use the buddy system. Never wander off alone without a plan. Etiquette is not the only difference from a NW festival. The biggest issue though, was forgetting where we parked. We were so excited to get into the show, we forgot where we had parked and spent literally 2 hours roaming the lot. HAVE A DAMN CHECKLIST.

Please remember to eat. Don’t be afraid to leave a bit early to avoid long shuttle lines. And if you wear contacts, be ready to buy eye drops…the desert will dry your eyes out (they have eye drops at their store). And God, chapstick.

For me, one of the biggest things to keep in mind is that you are there for EDC. It’s easy to get caught up in the whole Vegas experience and get crazy before EDC starts whether that be a day or multiple days, but that can leave you feeling depleted when the main attraction’s supposed to start. Also, it’s a horrible idea to try and do anything else once EDC is started. You have time for some sleep and food and nothing else. Last thing, always go for the shuttle passes and get them early. They make life so much easier and the line situations are SO much better

Planning out a schedule and getting acquainted with the map can be extremely helpful for EDC. Since there are so many artists and the stages are decently spaced out from each other, it can be exhausting walking around the Speedway and not knowing exactly where you want to go. Have a plan!
