The Road to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas: The DMNW Guide

Luckily for you, there are a variety of transportation options to get to the Speedway. If money is no object, you can take the road less traveled and go by helicopter. Insomniac offers a helicopter service that takes you directly from the Strip to the Speedway for $500 one-way or $800 round-trip for an individual seat. Renting out a private chopper will cost you $3,000 for one-way or $5,000 for round-trip. Expensive? Yes. But it’s a once-in-a-life time chance to feel like Tiesto for the weekend and arrive under the Electric Sky in style.

Arguably, the most reliable and cost-effective method to get to the Speedway are the official EDC Shuttles, priced at around $100 for a weekend pass. The pick-up locations include eight stops along the Strip, plus one stop Downtown. Designated pick-up locations for Aria, MGM Grand, and The Cosmopolitan have already sold out, so we suggest purchasing shuttle passes as soon as possible if you haven’t already. Also, take into consideration when choosing your pick-up location that a less-popular stop will mean fewer shuttle services, resulting in a longer wait time.

There are other shuttle companies to choose from and typically charge a lower rate than the official EDC Shuttles. However, be sure to do your research and read reviews as there are no guarantees when using a third-party alternative. For example, 360Haus offers weekend passes with pick-ups from the Palazzo and Venetian for around $65. JusCollege is another popular option, providing shuttles with North, South, Center, Downtown, and Off Strip pick-up locations for around $72 a seat.

If you’re someone who prefers to take life by the steering wheel, driving to EDC may be an option to consider. From making sure you have a designated driver to finding your car in the parking lot at the end of the night, driving has the potential to be burdensome. Remember that there is only one road to the Speedway, so expect to hit traffic unless you leave very early or late. While parking at EDC is free, we suggest opting for valet parking for $20. Valet will help ease the parking process and get you in and out of the venue quicker.

If you’re planning on taking a taxi to EDC, we would highly suggest you reconsider. From the Strip to the Speedway is a 20-30 minute drive, with the typical fare ranging around $60 without traffic. Unless it’s your only option, a taxi ride can run up to hundreds of dollars if you hit the highly probable traffic. It’s also worth mentioning that Vegas doesn’t have Uber or any other rideshare services.
