APE DRUMS
Placing Ape Drums, also known as Eric Alberto-Lopez, in the ‘trap’ section of this guide isn’t an attempt to define him as a ‘trap producer’. To be accurate, you’d have to have him mixed between trap, moombahton, big room, and more. But, that’s a killer for readability, so we’ll reserve this spot to contain our anticipation for Ape Drums return to Seattle. He peformed alongside Kill the Noise in October of last year, showcasing what he describes as ‘modernized dancehall music’. The Houston-native released his first major tune, Bashment, via DJ Craze & Kill the Noise’s Slow Roast Records last year, and will be in high demand as he continues to spread his unique brand of the classic dancehall sound.

SLANDER
Similar to The Chainsmokers, Slander has seen a fast rise into the bright (and growing brighter) spotlight that is EDM. Garnering more than 2.5 million plays with their remix of Showtek’s We Like To Party, duo Derek Anderson and Scott Land are making the most of their opportunities. The Los Angeles-natives proved this at Nocturnal Wonderland last year, when they played the biggest set of their lives, twice. The duo performed at their normally slotted time, and were lucky enough to be asked to fill-in on the Main Stage shortly thereafter.
Slander, who also coined the term ‘Heaven Trap’ for their chord-driven trap remixes, was in Seattle in August of last year, performing at Foundation Nightclub. Their return couldn’t come sooner, and hopefully there’ll be more Northwest shows to come as Slander continues to gain fans and notoriety.

GANZ
Another artist making his Seattle debut, Dutchman GANZ will be a set that draws a crowd, and keeps it. The 24-year-old, also known as Jordy Saämena, gets people moving and grooving with his signature blend of bass, R&B, and hip-hop. Producing tunes you don’t get mad at for being stuck in your head, GANZ is one of the four-leaf clovers hidden within the Lucky 2015 lineup. His soundcloud includes a bevy of remixes and mixes to wet your appetite until March 13th, with his Triple J Mix from December of last year a stand-out work.
BRILLZ
With a unique perspective on what the music can make your body do, Brillz is a familiar face in the Northwest that can bring the Twonk Team to the area anytime he pleases. He was at Paradiso 2014, and had December 2014 shows in both Seattle and Portland as well. A founding member of dance crew ‘Liquid Pop Collective’ before getting into production and DJing, Brillz has developed and refined his style of trappy tunes that set themselves apart from the rest of the growing genre. He’s released tunes on many of dance music’s top labels like OWSLA, Slow Roast Records, and Mad Decent, and if the latest Twonk Team Mixtape is any indicator, the best is still yet to come from Brillz.
