ALY & FILA
Egyptian duo Aly & Fila are making trips to the Northwest a habit, and we’re officially addicted. The Future Sound of Egypt label bosses performed at Paradiso 2014 and visited Seattle’s Foundation Nightclub a few months later in September. Releasing their debut single Eye of Horus in 2003, the trance veterans are among the best acts in all of dance music. They’ve performed around the globe, run their own label, have an impressively long running radio show, and took home the 2011 ASOT ‘Tune of the Year’ award with hit We Control The Sunlight.
Also of note, only Fila, also known as Fadi Wassef Naguib, tours as Aly & Fila. Aly, also known as Aly Amr Fathalah, suffered a sever ear injury at a show in Mexico several years ago, and to keep from making the damage worse, leaves the touring duties to Fadi. Fans who caught either of Aly & Fila’s shows in the Northwest last year can speak to Fadi’s ability to hold down the stage and put on a show worthy of the duo’s excellent reputation.
KYAU & ALBERT
Making their second trip to Lucky, German duo Kyau & Albert are familiar faces to the Northwest trance family. They’ve performed in the Northwest twice since their Lucky 2013 show, both in Portland and Seattle. Ralph Kyau & Steven Albert released their first collaboration, Let Me In, in 1996. Working in the dance music industry for decades, the duo created Euphonic Records in 1997. Working with artists like Above & Beyond, Ronski Speed, Aly & Fila, and countless more, Kyau & Albert’s contribution to trance music is immeasurable.

NEELIX
Not many names on the Lucky 2015 lineup have created as much excitement as Neelix. The native of Hamburg, Germany is a psytrance/progressive trance treat that will undoubtedly draw a huge crowd during his set, regardless of when it takes place. Also known as Henrik Twardzik, Neelix has performed mostly overseas, with his closest Northwest show coming North-of-the-border in Vancouver, BC in May of last year. His Seattle-debut has been a long time coming, and his booking by USC Events deserves a round of applause.
His debut album, Resident, came out in 2003, and a steady flow of albums, EPs, and singles have followed ever since. Neelix’s productions are worth a listen, regardless of your genre preferences, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for Lucky 2015.
NORIN & RAD
Norin & Rad will be returning to Lucky, after playing the annual festival last year, but with a different look. In November of last year, Rad (also known as Nick Sember) announced via the duo’s Facebook page that Norin (also known as Bruce Karlsson) would be leaving the collaboration project in order to explore other genres and opportunities.
Sember vowed to continue touring as Norin & Rad, while developing his solo career. He released his debut single Forth via Anjunabeats shortly after Karlsson’s departure, which quickly gained the top spot on the Beatport trance charts. Where Sember & Karlsson go in 2015 will be interesting to see, and we’re excited to get one of the first glimpses at the new-look Norin & Rad.
