Another week, and yet another amazing interview from Kevin and Cameron over The Dance Music Diaries. For Episode 14, the guys sat down for a rare interview with an artist outside of our local scene, J. Rabbit. Throughout the hour plus of conversation, we get one of the more honest and candid discussions we’ve ever heard from any DJ. He goes over everything from moving across the country for a girl he met on MySpace, to going through an intervention following his early drug use.
J. Rabbit made his name as a first-rate dubstep producer, but very recently has followed guys like Skream away from bass music and into the housier avenues of electronic music. It’s always fascinating to hear from the perspective of an artist touring the world with tens of thousands of fans, as well as their journey from modest beginnings (J. Rabbit got into the scene hanging out at a record shop owned by the guys who’d later become Terravita). Listen in to the full interview below, and follow The Dance Music Diaries on Facebook and Soundcloud to stay up on all new episodes every Thursday!
