[divider]Knife Party & Martin Garrix vs. Ilan Bluestone & JOC vs. Yellow Claw & Zomboy[/divider]
Alright, Paradiso-attendees. This is the big one. At a festival full of amazing artists and tons of set-time conflicts, the end of day one of Paradiso takes the cake. Each stage offers incredible acts and several of the most highly-anticipated artists on the lineup. At the Digital Oasis stage, the Seattle Trance Family will be out in force for Ilan Bluestone followed by John O’Callaghan from 11:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. At the same time, Yellow Claw and then Zomboy will be at The Wreckage, while Knife Party and Martin Garrix are turning the main stage into a big room bash.
What To Do: After Armin van Buuren’s sunset-set on Friday of Paradiso, these tough choices will need to be made. Trance fans, the choice is easy. Of course, missing out on the likes of Garrix, Knife Party, Zomboy, and Yellow Claw is never easy. But following up AvB’s 90 minutes with back-to-back sets from the likes of Ilan Bluestone and JOC is something every trance fan should do. For fans of bass, fantastic options are there for the taking as well. Yellow Claw and Zomboy are headlining acts in their own right, and the bass stage is always where the most fun is being had.
But the kid is coming, and missing out on his Northwest debut isn’t advisable. Martin Garrix closing out the first night of Paradiso is something everyone should take some time to check out. The fact that duo Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, also known as Knife Party, preempt Garrix is more proof that dance music fans in the Northwest are beyond spoiled. If you’re at Paradiso for the trance, or were looking forward to Yellow Claw at FreakNight 2014 and missed out, then make your way to the Digital Oasis or The Wreckage, respectively. But don’t blame anyone else when Garrix’s Northwest debut is being brought up for years to come.

Another trio of acts performing at each of the three stages at Paradiso 2015 provide one of the tougher decisions attendees will make this summer. From 10 p.m. – 11 p.m. Dash Berlin will be mesmerizing the main stage crowd, while at 10:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. TJR is performing at the Digital Oasis stage and Kill The Noise is bringing the bass at The Wreckage. All three are fan-favorites, especially in the Northwest, and getting all three at once, at The Gorge, isn’t something we should take for granted.
What To Do: Toward the end of your Paradiso experience, taking advantage of the final few sets is a must. Prior to the obviously tough set-time decisions at the end of Saturday night, picking between Dash Berlin, TJR, and Kill The Noise feels like an easy win-win-win. Of course, if any of these three are your personal favorite, get to their set. But if you’re undecided, we suggest following your gut when the time comes, and going with what sounds good. With a healthy choice of options (trance, bounce, and bass), one of these three is sure to scratch your late-festival itch.
