Are you a fan of “Footwork * Juke * DNB * Beats * Bass?” Live in Portland? Christmas may be over, but January is the month for you! Local crew Tenth Degree is bringing the heat to The Rose Bar and The Liquor Store for two nights of shuffle.
Who is Tenth Degree? They’re an artist collective, label, and events company based in Portland. You’ve likely heard of some of the artists that make up Tenth Degree: Albino Gorilla, Snackman, B.Robertson, Bahnhof::Zoo, Knate Pha$er, Dan Halen, and PDX Mandem. The team has been quietly putting on great events and releasing sick tracks in Portland for quite a while, and 2016 is beginning to look like their breakout year.
“Our goal is to bring quality underground acts focusing in footwork, juke, future beats and bass. We also produce original music and release compilations with artists featured from around the globe.” – Albino Gorilla (Click photos for show info and tickets)
In addition to the core team, Tenth Degree has hired on locals One Wub for sound and Ritzy Sheens to create glitchy analog visuals for projection. They’ve even teamed up with music blog Booms & Claps for the Losco show, saying “Collaboration is the name of the game.”
Certainly it is, and DMNW are known bassheads. If you’ve got some fancy footwork to show off, here’s your invitation.
