Despite not releasing any new material for seven years, Modest Mouse has been headlining nearly every festival they have been a part of for years. Instead of releasing half-assed material, Modest Mouse are doing things in an unconventional way. They are not putting out any new music they are not 100% proud of. Modest Mouse has constantly changed up their band members throughout the years.
This might have had an effect on why a new record is taking so long to see the light of day. Whatever the reason for delay of their new album, Modest Mouse proved to be a powerhouse at Pemberton Music Festival. They took us on a journey through their discography with a massive, energetic stage presence to back them up. There is a reason why Modest Mouse has taken many headlining spots and are still in high demand after so many years of performing together. This is indie rock at its finest.
