St. Vincent is the baby of Annie Clark’s project. It is constantly gaining exposure ever since she exploded onto the scene over a decade ago. Since the age of 12, Annie has masterfully crafted the guitar and several other instruments along the way, including bass, organ, piano, and the theramin. Before starting St. Vincent, Annie was actively touring with The Polyphonic Spree, Sufjan Stevens, as well as working with David Byrne of The Talking Heads. St. Vincent was quite the treat to watch live.
Annie works the guitar, using dozens of effects throughout her set, along with chilling vocals that make it hard to predict where she’ll head next. If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary and a mesmerizing performance, St. Vincent is a good place for you to start. We look forward to hearing her future work down the road.
