Earlier this year, trance duo Super 8 & Tab released their album Reformation Part 1. Soon after that release, they announced a follow up to that album called Reformation Part 2 which will be released on May 25th. The first track from this second part of their Reformation series is Burn, featuring Hero Baldwin on vocals.
Reaction to Reformation Part 1
Reformation Part 1 has been touted as the magnum opus of Super 8 & Tab; an unparalleled project of epic trance proportions. Part 1 was met with much success from around the industry, and speaking about the reactions from fans and supporters Janne from Super 8 & Tab said:
The last 4 months we have been touring around the world promoting Reformation Part 1 and the feedback has been mind-blowing! It’s been wonderful to see people getting really emotional on the dance floor when they sing along to True Love or Seconds Away or going wild with Mega and Pressure. During the tour we have also had the chance to road test tracks from Part 2, like collaborations with Tom Fall Osaka or Burn with Hero Baldwin and that has been a highlight so far! We are so hyped to share these new tracks with all of you!
First Release From Reformation Part 2
Burn is described as music “with the dance floor in mind,” going on to note how “Burn provides the perfect soundtrack to kickstart this second wave of music from the Reformation project.” But all tracks have an origin story and a concept, and Burn is no exception to this.
Super 8 & Tab had brought Hero into the studio and where they played part of the music for her. She instantly fell in love with what they had created so far, and ultimately wrote the lyrics which were added over the music that already existed. This track is very easy on the ears, with Hero’s ethereal vocals layered over uplifting trance vibes. Burn transports the listener to another place: a heavenly place.
