One of the things this pandemic has taught us is how to think outside of the box. Many musicians have taken a hit from the halt in income from touring, and from asking fans to purchase merchandise to creating drive-in shows, artists are coming up with creative ways to steady their income.
One of the PNW and Shambhala’s favorites, Stickybuds took a chance and started a Patreon page. For those of you who don’t know what a Patreon page is, in short, it’s a platform where creators and musicians can provide rewards and perks to people who subscribe to their page for a fee.
Stickybuds is offering a variety of membership fees and perks. The lowest package comes in at only $2 a month, while the most is $500 a month. Some of the perks include getting samples, track stems or Ableton Project files from Stickybuds, production lessons with Stickybuds on Zoom every month, and even guest list to future shows! You can see a full list of the different subscriptions here.
“If 1% of my 50,000+ fans decided to support with $2 a month, I could support myself and continue to bring you new music releases, and my weekly show “Different Strains”.”-Stickybuds Facebook
Even though this is a rough time for many of us right now, we’re enjoying the creativity coming from all the artists and the fans that are supporting the musicians they love. If you’re a fan of Stickybuds, go check out his Patreon and see how you can help.
