Starkey has released more music from his upcoming Blaster EP, which will be in stores October 29th via SMOG records. Starkey’s EP is shaping up to be a massive Goliath. After he released the EP’s title track as well as ‘Drogue,’ it’s clear which common elements are all shared between these and the latest, ‘Pyramids’. Little drums that skitter-skatter around like mice, big drums that terrify, and fire-alarm rhythms for synths that feel like phasers; all of these sounds create a crushing atmosphere that will likely result in a banger of an EP. ‘Pyramids’ feels like a painted scene of rebellion fighting against evil, comparatively to the EP’s title track, which merely creates a lift off sensation. ‘Pyramids’ breaks the bones of your ambiguous captor and frees your mind and body from its physical and mental prison. You can pre-order the EP off iTunes.
