It’s fair to say that the Trance scene in Seattle has been getting stronger and stronger over the past year. There have been more sold out trance shows at venues across the city, more open to close sets with trance producers, and now a thriving local artist trance night at Contour every month entitled “The Sounds Of Trance.” Well after a year of progressively better turn out for the monthly trance show at Contour, it’s time to celebrate that anniversary in proper style. On February 19, put on your trance pants, bust out some kandi, and head to Contour for the celebration you won’t want to miss.
So what can you expect from this wonderful show? Well a lot. The headliner for the evening will be Dimibo, who have played a Sounds Of Trance show previously. We can tell you from experience that this show will be bonkers because of what they did to the place before. The energy was amazing, the crowd was incredible, and every trance lover was in pure bliss. On top of that, the show will be featuring an array of local talent from Invincity and Sake Bomb, to a B2B (That’s “back to back” for the newbs out there) between local legend Johnny Monsoon and The Sounds of Trance founder, Digital Ascension (Bobby Lilly).
The Sounds Of Trance has been a mainstay on our event calendar for the past year because Bobby tries to keep it fresh with providing all different forms of Trance music, “From Electro Trance to 138 bpm, or progressive, I have tried to implement different styles and themes to make things interesting.” You can think of this night as a sort of gift to the Seattle Trance community because he “created The Sounds Of Trance for one reason only, so that Seattle could have a monthly home for trance.”
“Watching people come to this show for the past year has been nothing short of amazing. I love seeing people out in the crowd having fun and enjoying the music that has captivated me for 16 years. Club Contour has been a great home for this how, and I love the vibes it provides” – Bobby Lilly
What ever you’re planning on doing for February the 19, make sure it includes a stop at Contour that night. It will be well worth your time, we guarantee it. Have you ever been to a Sounds Of Trance show before? Tell us what you thought of the experience in the comments below!
