It’s blacker than you’ve ever seen it before. The stars you thought would be bright flicker lightly in the distance. Radio transmissions are like whispers in time. You’ve been floating in the farthest reaches of space for months, years even. Who knows. All you have are your thoughts. Longing, missing, wondering. Fear and love and wonder. Then, with one press of a button on the console – thrusters burst into action. Ionic fire lights up from within the craft and suddenly, before you can take a breath, planets and asteroids whip by at blinding speeds.

That’s what Sound Remedy has done with Jaymes Young’s electro-dream track Moondust. The vocal isn’t floating in the ether, it’s sitting in a tin can. The kick drum thumps your chest. Electro-infused guitar tracks drone away like sirens. Huge synth stabs and growling bass make you forget you were drifting. Sound Remedy has taken a dreamscape and turned it into a rock-inspired power ballad that would make David Bowie proud. If you can avoid raising your hands and bobbing your head, check the airlock – you might already be dead.
SR’s Moondust remix is the latest in a string of massive hits. They are proof that the melodic dubstep sound has more mileage in it yet. With Daughter, Lana Del Rey, and Crystal Castles remixes under his belt, it’s clear that Sound Remedy gravitates toward the grandiose. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
And if that wasn’t enough, the self-proclaimed “best envelope drawer” will be bringing his lush, bass-heavy sound to Foundation Nightclub! On March 5th, he’ll be arriving at SUBstance Wednesdays. The unique combination of ethereal landscapes and intense bass is surely not to be missed.
