Although you may feel prepared for the weather, we cannot stress enough: bring extra, extra, extra clothing! To be even more specific, very warm clothing! The second night it got down to three degrees and there were extremely high winds that made the temperature feel even more cold. Layering a few pairs of leggings doesn’t do the body justice in these sorts of extreme temperatures. We recommend that you bring snowboarding/skiing pants, wool socks (lots of them), thick gloves, snow jackets, face masks or bandannas, and most importantly, waterproof boots. The worst thing that could happen is for your feet to get wet. Once you think you have enough items packed, pack a few more things. You may need to have spare clothes in case other items need to dry out.

Also, important to note is the amount of time you may spend in the shuttle lines after the festival is over. The first evening we waited no longer than twenty minutes to board the shuttle. however, the second night we waited over two hours! It was freezing and people were getting anxious to board, and this resulted in festival attendees jumping the gates, cutting in line, and causing boarding of the shuttles to take much longer than it should have. While the wait was seemingly dreadful, it resulted in meeting great new friends from the surrounding states. This really helped to pass the time in the frostbite educing chill. Whether your wait is short or long, we suggest you make the most of your situation. It’s not always as bad as it seems!
Overall our experience at SnowGlobe Music Festival was something that we will remember for years to come. We got to see some bucket list artists, live out a whole new festival vibe, meet new people from different state, and even countries, and most importantly, spend time with the ones we love. Thank you SnowGlobe for providing the best way to start off 2015! We can’t wait for next year’s event.
