Steven Ellison is a producer, rapper, and DJ better known as Flying Lotus. If you’re a fan of Adult Swim, he’s the guy who does the filler music between shows. His experimental hip hop is infiltrated by electronic sounds, a bit of acid jazz, and even a little blues.
[divider]Salva[/divider]
If you like a little trap and a little hip hop, you have to catch Salva’s set. He produces original beats as well as remixes, including a few collaborative remixes with RL Grime. Salva is also a resident DJ on BBC Radio 1’s “In New DJs We Trust.”
[divider]RAC (Live)[/divider]
Originally a collaborative effort, RAC (Remix Artist Collective) is now the solo project of André Allen Anjos. The project originally focused on creating remixes of already loved songs, but remixes that strayed from the mainstream. These days RAC not only remixes, but also creates original tracks. This particular set is labeled as RAC Live and we can only guess what elements will be live, but no matter how they’re played you can expect some dreamy synth pop that’s worth stopping by for.
