Those of you who stuck around after Deadmau5’s set on Saturday night and survived the hour-long gap between him and Girl Talk starting up, knew it was well worth the wait. We can’t think of a better act to get Pemberton back in the energy game than Gregg Gillis. Since taking on Girl Talk full-time in 2007, Gillis has hosted some of the most bizarre and wild parties anywhere. When Girl Talk plays your town, nothing is off limits. There’s always tons of people on-stage and dancing everywhere, as well as his famous mashups that blend everything from Black Sabbath and Ludacris to Lil Wayne and Chicago.
Nothing is off limits for Girl Talk in terms of blending. Although his shows are very energetic, upbeat, and fast-paced due to sampling at least a dozen of tracks into one of his songs, Girl Talk is arguably one of the most entertaining acts you’ll find. If you haven’t seen Girl Talk before, be prepared to have some fun and get down and dirty, rain or shine.
