Shambhala’s notoriously bass heavy Village Stage dropped the best puzzle of the year this Tuesday on their Facebook Fan page. A few weeks early to an official lineup release, which is expected toward the end of this month, the teaser already has us excited. The page offered to release a photo of their 2016 schedule with most of the letter of artists names blanked out, similar to last year. In no time, people already began taking guesses as to who they think may be filling the time slots. We decided to take a stab at the lineup and fill in our hopefuls for 2016 along side with our 2016 lineup wish-list.
The Village Stage has always been the epicenter for heavy bass, and dirty dubstep at Shambhala. The 200,000 Watt PK Trinity Sound System is the most state of the art sound system in the world and is the heartbeat of the stage. A crew of nearly 70 preshow volunteers help prep the stage each year, while the 25 member PK sound team ensures each stage is running at peak performance. The Village also features multilevel catwalks, forts, and platforms that allow each “Shambhalite” to experience the stage differently while being fully immersed in PK sound. The Village has seen the likes of Excision, Bassnectar, Skrillex, Datsik, and more, and each year their lineup never seems to disappoint.

Make no mistake regardless of how accurate our assumptions may be, 2016 is shaping up to be another amazing event. The event already sold out 154 days in advance, and prior to any lineup announcement at all; a first for Shambhala. Each year, The Village features a few obvious acts that call it their summer time home. While also including some up and coming talent and even some old favorites. The teaser photo hints at one of the best lineups we’ve seen in a while and looks like they’ll be trying to keep you in The Village all weekend.
