Sunday

The final day of fun at The Pagoda once again begins at 4 p.m., as BC’s Ocea Sasa takes the stage, and is followed by Wyoming’s Cut La Whut from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Another day full of great acts, The Pagoda is calling our name a littler louder than the rest of the festival on Sunday, and we expect to be spending the majority of our time there on the final day of Shambhala 2016. That’s in-part due to a third set (after featuring with The Gaff in the Fractal Forest, and performing for 20 minutes on Saturday at The Pagoda) from Shambhala-regular Mat The Alien that takes place from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Mat The Alien is followed by tech and deep house duo Chuurch, hailing from Calgary, from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. From 8:30 p.m. – 10 p.m., it’s another fan-favorite and Shambhala-returner, when The M Machine perform. Starting a string of performances from artists associated with one of the best labels in the industry, OWSLA, The M Machine’s set is one every attendee should make a little time for. It might be a good idea to get their early as well, because the star-studded list of OWSLA acts that follows will undoubtedly have their sets packed with Shambhalites.

The first of the OWSLA gang to follow The M Machine is another artist gaining tons of steam throughout the last 18 months. After blowing-up at Bonnaroo with Skrillex and making a name for herself, Phoenix-native Mija is showing she has everything it takes to be one of the best DJs and producers around. There’s no telling where the future lies for the young artist, but after witnessing her masterful sunrise-set at The Pagoda last year, we’ll be listening every step of the way. Next stop: her 10 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. set at The Pagoda.

The OWSLA fun continues at 11:30 p.m., with another booking that has our ears perked up this summer. Getter’s last Shambhala performance is still sending out vibrations from The Village, and although it was well received, the San Jose-native has decided to shed his dubstep-drenched image and head in another direction. Branching out and doing new things is exactly what music and art is about, and we can’t wait for what Getter has in store for The Pagoda in his Shambhala return.

From 1 a.m. – 2:30 a.m. another can’t miss set from an artist who’s been making waves throughout 2016 takes place at The Pagoda, as Marshmello performs. His identity is officially unconfirmed, and OWSLA associate under the mask is turning heads. His original tunes and live-sets have become some of the most-listened to music of the summer, and everyone is wanting a glimpse of Marshmello. We don’t care if it’s who we think it is, or a person actually made of marshmallows, we want to catch whoever is creating those tunes and performing those sets. And we’ll get a chance to do just that at Shambhala this summer.

The heavy-hitters keep coming, as former-duo now solo-project What So Not takes the stage from 2:30 a.m. – 4 a.m. Formerly consisting of Flume and Emoh Instead, What So Not is purely Emoh Instead’s job now, one that he has taken and successfully turned into his own. The Pagoda will then be closed-out by HARD creator and Los Angeles-based legend of the industry: Destructo. He’ll be performing a ‘Sunrise Sermon’ from 4 a.m. – 5:30 s.m., and we can’t imagine a better way to close out the festival’s main stage.
