Kill the Noise
Kill The Noise has become a name heard alongside other heavyweight artists in the industry. This could be thanks in part to his collaborations with artists like Tommy Trash, Deadmau5 and Skrillex. 2014 was a fruitful year for him. For the second time he won a MTV Music Video Award, co-wrote the first single (and title-track) for Skrillex’s album Recess and produced the feature track Shell Shocked for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Kytami
Having been trained as a classical violinist from the age of four, there is no doubt Kytami has mastered her skills on the instrument. She has appeared in festivals worldwide, was invited to speak and perform at TedX Victoria and received the Western Canadian Music Award for Electronic/Dance Album of the Year for her self-titled 2012 release Kytami. 2017 has come along to a good start as the long-anticipated Renegade album was released on East Van Digital. She also appeared on select dates with Datsik on the Ninja Nation tour as well as a WODNB performance in Victoria, BC with the Prototypes and DJ SS.
Accompanying the gritty drum and bass/electronica backing provided by Phonik Ops, Kytami flawlessly delivers a no-nonsense, magnetic performance on the violin and throws in pieces of musical stylings from across the map, including elements of drum and bass, dubstep, hip hop, and punk rock, to create an unforgettable experience.
Lapa
Ilya Goldberg, also known as Lapa, had training in classical violin at an early age. In 2000, he moved from his birthplace of Perm, Russia to the states in order to pursue a career in music as a full-time pursuit. In the classical world, he has performed with many Russian and American orchestras, chamber groups and has even made a few appearances as a soloist. Ilya also fills a unique niche by infusing electronic music with classical technique and a sensibility spanning epochs of music. His collaborators include Random Rab, Lynx, Rena Jones, The Human Experience, Future Simple Project and many more. Most notably, he works alongside Emancipator.
Lion-S
Lion-S has deep roots in the Canadian electronic dance music world. Beginning her life long affair with records collecting vinyl as a hobby in 1995, she opened a record store in Halifax in 1997 and started DJing as a way of expressing the love she had for the new music she was encountering. The beats drew her westward landing her in Nelson, BC where she began setting foundations for The Pride, one of Nelson’s first dance music event companies.
Her stint booking talent for all stages at Shambhala from 2001-2008, and as Living Room stage director from 2002-2011, put her in touch with some of the biggest and most influential acts of the dance music world, exposing her even more deeply to a wide variety of styles which form the basis of her unique multi genre sets. Her roots are in house music but she also explores mid-tempos ambient and down-tempo, favoring sounds with world influence. Lion-S is also a founding member of the Kootenays’ original all female DJ crew MeowMix.

Liquid Stranger
Liquid Stranger has mastered his ability to slip in and out of genres while putting his personal stamp on all his work. However, he’s categorized as a heavy dubstep artist by those who are not familiar with all of his work. He has an ability to shift from genre to genre unlike anything we’ve seen before, and so it’s no surprise that he’s been seen in the #1 position on the Beatport Charts on numerous occasions.
Not just in one genre either. His track Bombaclaad Star was the #1 reggae track of 2011; Shake My Ass was #1 in the drum and bass category and his third album Private Riot has become a sort of dubstep classic. In 2015, he shared his new label Wakaan with the world. With the new label he has given free-form compositions and artists a place to thrive.
Longwalkshortdock
When Dave King heard the gritty electronic tunes in 80’s video games, he started learning the basics of recording and looping segments. He also got a taste for sampling and recording, taping segments of his piano practice to fool his parents into thinking he was practicing in the other room when he was really playing Nintendo. It was probably around this time that Longwalkshortdock was born.
He has a far-spanning catalog of music, and holds two degrees from the Art Institute of Burnaby for Music Recording and Production. LWSD is known for his highly enthusiastic performances and is highly sought after by many festivals. Longwalkshortdocks third full length studio album entitled Squashing Machine released on East Van Digital follows up on his successful debut album Casual Tea by making appearances on many radio stations around the globe.
