JUNGLIST MASSIVE! DRUM & BASS HEADS UNITE! Because Shambhala Music Festival is killing the game. The adult playground well known for its impressive productions and blockbuster lineups has outdone themselves once again! This time with one of the biggest bookings the festival has ever seen, courtesy of Full Cycle Records.
The legendary status of the Salmo River Ranch is about to grow even more this August as three of the most influential names in the business rejoin forces to bring their brand of drum & bass to the masses. After a 12 year hiatus (that lasted 12 years too long), Roni Size and label mate Krust have teamed up with Dynamite MC to take us heads for a roll as they present Full Cycle Sound – a showcase of the underground sound from the label of the same name.
Full Cycle Records was one of the pioneering labels in the early days of jungle/drum & bass, and responsible for launching some of the most influential careers in our scene. Now, over 20 years later, they’re armed with an impressive stockpile of music including new collaborations, remixes, and of course our all-time favorites from deep in the vault.
If you happened to catch our recent articles on the drum & bass MC, and our favorite jungle anthems, then you already know how excited DMNW is with this announcement! While Shambhala has seen some incredibly massive bookings throughout the years, one could argue this may be one of the biggest acts to ever grace the farm. Right up there with people like Moby, Jazzy Jeff, Mix Master Mike, and Andy C. With each of those names having just as much influence over a specific genre as Full Cycle has themselves.
If we’re lead to believe this is just a teaser of what’s to come, then this is undoubtedly going to be the biggest lineup of the summer. If not the most impressive one that Shambhala has ever produced. While we sit and wait patiently for what’s just around the corner, if the powers that be want to keep dropping teasers like this on us, then call us a glutton for punishment because in the words of Wanz, “This is fucking awesome.”
