The Living Room

One of our favorite parts of the Salmo River Ranch is the river it’s named after. Nothing beats a mid-day hang at the river on an inflatable pizza slice with a few friends to help relax and revitalize you. The Living Room is a great place to get your poi or hoop on during the day and traditionally has been a great place to discover new artists. The homey vibe and beachy atmosphere make for a great place to relax during the day, but don’t let it fool you: at night it can turn into a fire breathing (literally) dance party.

Much like The Ampitheatre, The Living Room opens early and gives attendees a full day of music before the chaos ensues. We highly suggest taking advantage of the extra day, along with the beach hangs and flamethrowers.

  • Danny Scrilla – So after hearing The Librarian drop Danny Scrilla’s Obeh VIP last year we’ve been wanting a full set here…please.
  • Big Wild – The image of hearing Aftergold while floating down the river sounds so appealing we can’t help but wish it becomes a reality.
  • Metafloor – While he just played back in 2015 at the Ampitheatre, we’d love to have him play down by the beach.
  • Lighta Sound vs Really Good – The amount of incredible artists and music that would come from something like this would pretty much be the best thing ever. While likely not going to happen, we still want to dream there’s a chance of something like this going down.

Regardless of what the organizers have planned for us we know it’ll be another amazing year on the farm. Each year we return, one of our favorite things to do is walk around and see whats new. Crews arrive sometimes months in advance to put in countless hours to prepare for the festival. Celebrating their 20th birthday, we’re expecting this one to be just a little more special. With less than six months to go, we anxiously await more news to come from the organizers, so for now all we can do is wait and wish!
Looking forward to seeing again and every one of our farmily members in August. Have you own wish list for Shambhala 2017? Be sure to tell us what you’re hoping to see at this year’s festival!
