The Pagoda Stage
The Pagoda Stage was completely re-built for the 20th Anniversary and the rebuild wouldn’t be complete without brand new cutting edge video-mapping technology. Formerly known as ‘Main Stage’, the stage boasts all forms of big-name acts, but the lineup is far from mainstream. This year, expect appearances from some of the Dirtybird crew, stage owner DJ Soup, Rezz and so many more.
Friday
House artist Wallis will be heating up the party with some of his funky house tunes at the 3 p.m. opening of Pagoda Stage. Then, Logan Hart comes onstage at 4 p.m. fire up the crowd with jackin’ house tunes. Nelson resident and a co-founder of The Lost Boys, DeBlock is set to tear up the stage with his thumping bass lines fused with disco. Afterwards, former DnB duo Maximono share their take on house music. Of course, their take on house music draws from their background as a DnB duo, with some world music thrown in as an extra treat.
Pagoda Stage Director DJ Soup will mix many genres with his preferred method of mixing: vinyl. After his time on the stage from 8 p.m. – 9 p.m, FISHER takes the stage. At that time, South African tech house artist Kyle Watson plays until 11:30 p.m. Afterwards, the anonymous German deep house duo (or group, we’re not entirely sure) Claptone takes the stage until1:30 a.m.
From 1:30 a.m. till close, the crowd at Pagoda is in for quite a treat as Saturday at The Pagoda is closed out by some artists from the prominent Dirtybird label. First up is house and techno producer Justin Martin. Dirtybird founder Barclay Crenshaw comes back onstage, this time under his tech house persona Claude VonStroke. The last artist of the night is another Dirtybird legend: Christian Martin. He’ll get onstage at 4:30 a.m. and play trippy house music until the stage’s closing at 6:30 p.m.

Calgary-based lean bass artist Chuurch comes on at 7:30 p.m., followed by Mau5trap signed artist Blackgummy.
At 10:30 p.m., Montreal substep group Black Tiger Sex Machine (BTSM) coming back to Shambhala for the second year in what’s expected to be a visually stunning set, complete with the group’s insane ability to cross between genres. British artist Jon Gooch will likely play a mash-up of DnB, dubstep and electro house under his stage name Feed Me until 1:30 a.m., at which time the Juno award winning Canadian producer Rezz takes the stage with one of her sinister productions.
Ghetto house producer Malaa plays until 4 a.m., followed by New Zealand bass producer QUIX. Performing the closing set is Nelson DJ and producer Ben Fox, whose talent puts him at the forefront of the bass scene.
