Looking for a place to frolic while enjoying groovy tunes? Look no further, as the Living Room Stage has you covered! This stage is the perfect place for daytime adventures in the sun. Additionally, the people behind the magnificent stage chose to move the stage to another location for Shambhala’s 20th anniversary. Even though The Pride moved the stage to another location, the stages sound of funky soul and groove music remain the same.

Thursday

On Thursday, Shambhala regular Joaqopelli will be performing the opening ceremony for the Living Room Stage. Joining him on stage is LA based DJ and rapper EVeryman (real name Evan Shafran). At 12 p.m, EVeryman will take the stage and his high energy set will feature anything from breaks to DnB. Smalltown DJs will be performing a three hour takeover of the stage starting at 2 p.m. with their Bass House sound. Joining Smalltown DJs onstage is Lisa Lobsinger from Broken Social Scene and Canadian rapper Shad.

At 5 PM, MonkeyTwerk will play music that sounds…well, exactly like their stage name. The couple Adriana and Frank make music that they’ve coined ‘Sexy Times’ and in addition MonkeyTwerk has received support from the likes of Tiesto. Griffin March, also known under his moniker BOGL, will be taking the stage at 7 p.m with his genre-bending bass heavy music. The self-taught DJ and turntablist has performed alongside artists like Diplo and Truth and has performed at many well known festivals.

From 8:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. That African will mix many genres, including (but not limited to) hip-hop, house, world music and so, so much more. After which the Living Room will be host to the futuristic trip-hop stylings of NICO LUMINOUS. At 11:30, Electropical w/ Nadi will take the stage for what we can only expect to be a magnificent set with world music, hip-hop and everything in between. And last, but certainly not least, Thursday night at the Living Room stage closes out with Rollie Fingers taking the helm from 1 a.m to 3 a.m.

Friday

The first performance of the day starts at 12 p.m. and if you love the sweet sounds of the saxaphone, you’ll love the stylings of music producer Marty Carter. He has an extensive background in several instruments (including 12-string guitar) and has composed several original tracks. At 1 p.m. dancehall music sensation Foxy Moron will showcase her twenty years of experience in the scene through a three hour performance.

Re:Me takes the stage at 4 p.m, followed up with El Buho‘s multi-genre mix including (but not limited to) Latin American folk and tropical music. Shambhala regular JPOD the beat chef will be making his way onstage at 7 p.m. and it’s guaranteed that he’ll take listeners on a journey of music, infusing world music with funky basslines. Following the conclusion of his performance at 9 p.m. is Bass Coast co-founder Andrea Graham, aka The Librarian. At 11 p.m. An-Ten-Nae and Releece return to Shambhala as the iconic chill wave duo Dimond Saints.

From 12 p.m – 2 a.m. Soohan lights up the stage with his global bass sound and starting at 2 a.m. the crowd will get a taste of Barisone‘s fusion of hip-hop and dance hall. The last artist of the night is Japanese producer Gr◯un土 a.k.a DJ ground whose music has been compared to that of a science fiction movie.

Saturday

At 12 p.m the Living Room Stage is warming up the crowd. Quite literally, as the feminine-centric workshop called the Bellyfit Worshop, will have all attendees doing a moderate workout with an open mindset. Deep house artist Rowan will likely be performing the music for this workout and afterward, he’ll play his own set from 1 p.m – 2 p.m. Electropical w/ Nadi comes back to the stage from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Afterwards, female group Meowmix (made of members Lion S, Ginger, Emma Star and Morninglory) perform a two hour takeover of the Living Room Stage until 6 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Following that epic genre-crossing set is Mateeson from 6 p.m. – 8.p.m., when DJ Shoe is onstage until 10 p.m. Onstage at the end of his set is Tyler Stadius, an iconic house producer from Vancouver. Next up is American house icon Mark Farina, whose set will blur the lines between multiple genres whilst creating his own sound affectionately called ‘mushroom jazz’ for a three hour set. At 3 a.m., fan-favorite Eddie C finishes off Saturday night with some of his funky disco edits.

Sunday

After Nelson resident Sijay, sleepstep producer and DJ, comes onstage from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m., the Living Room stage closes until noon. The fan-favorite electro-swing performance of Michael Fraser & the Black Dog String Quartet will re-energize the crowd. Female London producer 10:SUI‘s 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m set has sadly been canceled, a replacement act is TBD.Followed by an unforgettable two hour performance from the Juno award winning Adham Shaikh Presents MonkeyDragon.

From 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. S2 performs his second set at Shambhala 2018, followed by bass tropical world producer El Papachango‘s hour and a half set. Starting at 8 p.m., we’re treated to a two hour performance by SaQi, after which is Dirtwire. Afro Funke co-founder (and resident DJ) Jeremy Sole will mix through many genres and following his amamzing act is Brazilian producer Psilosamples. After his trippy Brazilian-influenced music, a performance by 29 Palms carries the stage to the end of it’s Sunday festivities.

Monday

As of 6 a.m Monday morning, The Living Room Stage is one of two stages still open at Shambhala 2018. The first of the last three acts, Random Rab takes the stage until 8:30 a.m., when The Pride w/ Lion-S, Hoola and the Gang perform a three hour takeover. Following that epic act is Joaqopelli, playing the final set until 12 p.m. on his double Native American flutes.
