Why Shambhala is Our Favorite Festival of the Summer

First-rate stage production, a location like none other, and some of the kindest people we’ve ever seen at a festival, all made for what we can unequivocally call one of the best weekends we’ve ever experienced. As we wearily packed our bags on the final morning, it really did feel like we’d made Salmo River Ranch our home for the last four days.

For that weekend, we felt as though we were walking that thin line between being completely out of our collective element, and feeling as though we belonged here, more than any other place we’d ever been before. The words “welcome home” rang true, and were only fully understood by setting foot on the farm. Now that we’re months removed from that fateful weekend, our only real regret is that we have to wait until next August to return home.
